#Wayanad is a district in the north-east of Kerala state, India. Part of the Western Ghats is in the district. The name Wayanad is derived from Vayal Nadu which means the land of paddy fields. Wayanad is the only district in Kerala that borders both the neighboring states Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It is the least populous district in Kerala.
