KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice president Nurrul Izzah Anwar is not in the clear yet for having met self styled Sulu Princess Jacel Kiram.
MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Ting Lai said that although the opposition leader had apologised for the meeting, what she had done was unforgivable as it the intrusion into Lahad Datu by the group led by her father had caused the country a lot of pain.
"We are very sad that we are facing terrorist threats in the country and at at the same time, our opposition leader Nurul Izzah has had contact with such a leader there."
"Although she has apologised but that does not excuse her from what she had done, which is unbecoming of an opposition leader."
"This shows the mentality of the opposition, who only go for policital gain instead of considering national security," he said.
The self proclaimed Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III was behind the Lahad Datu intrusion which led to the deaths of Malaysian security personnel in 2013.
